Traffic Analysis Commuters Survive and Report
for Fiscal year 1996-97
The
people of Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino,
Del Norte, and San Francisco Counties have
made the following inquiries concerning the
safety issue of a movable traffic barrier.This questionnaire shall
be submitted directly to the commuter for
30 days. After 30 days, a full-report
will be given to the Board of Directors. This report will show
your concerns and views on this vital "Safety
Issue." Please fill-out
this form as-soon-as-possible. Check each
box {x} that may pertains to your needs. Mail
this questionnaire in the pre-paid enveloped.
8.If a movable median
barrier is installed on the bridge, should there
be rumble-strips along side it to warn the driver,
that be to close to this barrier?
The question that is on the mines of
all commuters and other drivers is, Will the
Bridge District due anything about the facts,
that exist in every driver heart, the fear
of driving in the suicide lane?

We are asking, that a questionnaire be submitted
directly to you, the commuters for a predetermined
period of time, to resolute where or not the
Bridge District should reconsider its views
and concerns for a Movable Traffic Barrier
for the bridge.
We are also asking that, the
Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation
District and the Board of Directors, establish
a Traffic Safety committee, to evaluate and
analysis the questionnaire based on the public’s
views and concerns for a movable barrier And
this committee.
