PROPOSAL FOR
SMALL CURB PURCHASE AND CONVEYOR LEASE
For evaluation on the Golden Gate Bridge, QWICK KURB INC.
is willing to lease its truck mounted, lane moving conveyor
(with truck). for $1 per month for a sixty day trial period,
along with a purchase of a minimum of 2,000 feet of the
curb system. Depending on the size, type and spacing intervals
for the reboundable markers, the purchase price* will
be between $85,488 and $94,774 ($42.74- $47.39 per foot),
plus two way freight for the conveyor.
We will include
technical personnel for up to three consecutive days at
no additional charge to assist in set up and to train
Bridge personnel. During those 60 days deploy the curb
on a portion of the bridge and evaluate the curb and the
conveyor. If the Bridge Authority finds that it needs
additional time, it may continue leasing the conveyor
and truck at $2,750 per month. At the end of the evaluation
period, return the conveyor and truck to us.
If the bridge
authority would like to move forward, we will construct
a new conveyor for them on their truck, and sell the balance
of curb necessary to complete the bridge. The price* per
foot would decline to between $39.87 to $44.71 per foot)
because of volume discounts, and we would grant a credit
for the price difference for the curb previously purchased
for the evaluation.
Even if the
system were determined to be unsuitable, there is no loss
except freight for the conveyor, because the curb already
purchased can be used for many other worthwhile applications
such as temporary dividers in work zones and toll booths,
permanent lane dividers. U-turn restrictions, etc.
